HMV Celebrated National Youth Day



 

Under the able guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya in collaboration with National EduTrust of India celebrated National Youth Day with zeal and enthusiasm. To celebrate this day, Student Council organized various competitions which include Poster Making, Slogan Writing, Essay Writing and Speech Competition on the theme Youth Power for Nation Building. Sh. Sunil Phogat, IAS, Assistant Commissioner, Jalandhar was the Chief Guest of this event. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen, Dr. Anjana Bhatia, Nodal Officer and Dr. Urvashi Mishra, Dean Student Council welcomed the guest with green planter. An interactive session was organized with Sh. Sunil Phogat, Assistant Commissioner in which students interact with him and he shared his experience of civil services with them. He also motivated the students to achieve their dreams and to learn from failures. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Sareen congratulated everyone on the success of an event. She said on National Youth Day, we honour the vision and teachings of Swami Vivekanand, who believed in the strength and potential of youth. She also thanked Sh. Sunil Phogat, IAS for giving his valuable time and shared his journey among students. On National Youth Day, a Felicitation Ceremony also organized where Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen awarded with the Best Principal Award by National Edutrust of India. Dr. Anjana Bhatia, Dean Innovation & Research awarded with the Best Nodal Officer and Dr. Urvashi Mishra Awarded with Appreciation Award as the Coordinator of the event. Some selected students namely Dilpreet Kaur, Kris Sondhi, Sushila Gupta, Nazam Jafri, Kamalpreet Kaur, Sakshi Vaid, Khushi, Bhavya, Alisha, Diksha and Nidhi were also honored on National Youth Day for their Exceptional work. On the occasion, the posters of 30-day Fitness Challenge and Integrating Indian Knowledge System (IKS) into Higher Education through the Vrindavan Experience under the aegis of National EduTrust of India, were also released. To celebrate this day, Yoga session was also organized and students did various yoga asanas to keep themselves healthy. In various competitions, more than 70 students participated and showed their wonderful skills in different fields. In speech competition, Sukhleen stood first, Jahnavi stood second and Parinita and Dilpreet stood third. In Poster Making Competition, Anjali Kumari stood first, Jasneet Dhanjal stood second and Tanu Kumari and Radha stood third. In slogan writing competition, Megha stood first, Tanu Kumari stood second and Zeenat stood third. In Essay Writing competition, Onam stood first, Simran stood second and Alisha and Khushi stood third. The judgement of these competitions were done by office bearers of student council. Khushi Gogna presented a motivational song on this occasion. The student council also presented handmade New Year and Lohri cards to Chief Guest Sh. Sunil Phogat, IAS and Principal Dr. Sareen. Mr. Samarth Sharma, CEO of National EduTrust of India, extended heartfelt gratitude to the Principal, Nodal Officer, Student Council Team and the entire organizing committee for their relentless dedication and teamwork in making the event a grand success. The stage was successfully conducted by Dr. Anjana Bhatia. On this occasion, Mr. Jagjit Bhatia, Dr. Kajal Puri, Mrs. Jyotika Minhas, Mrs. Purnima, Dr. Jiwan Devi, Mrs. Navneeta, Dr. Deepali, and Ms. Harmanu were also present. The event was concluded with National Anthem.
