Centre for Gandhian Studies and Political
Science Department of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya celebrated Gandhi Jayanti
on 2nd October,2016. Principal Dr.
(Mrs.) Ajay Sareen highlighted the major events from the life of Gandhi Ji and
advised the students to follow the path shown by Mahatma Gandhi. She also guided them to serve the nation in
the manner Mahatma Gandhi did. Dr.
Rajiv, Co-ordinator (Centre for Gandhian Studies) enlightened the students about
the contribution Gandhi ji made in the development of the society. Mrs. Nita Malik (Head , Pol. Sc. Deptt.)
talked about Mahatma Gandhi’s concept of equality and its relevance in present
time. Km. Rajwinder Kaur, Head Girl and
Joint Head Girl Km. Vaishali also gave speech about Gandhi ji’s
principles. Students Km. Ridhi and Km.
Alisha paid their tribute to the saint with hymn “Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram”. All the members of teaching and non-teaching
paid homage to the Father of the nation.
