A
function on Suicide Awareness and
Prevention was organized on the occasion of World Suicide Prevention Day by
Freudian Psychological Society of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya under the directions
of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen.
The HOD of Psychology Deptt., Dr. Ashmeen Kaur gave a presentation on
stress management to prevent suicides.
She stressed on the point that parents prolonged pressure on children
because stress that leads to suicide and this practice should be stopped. The students of the Department presented
their view on the theme ‘Take a Moment, Save a Life’ in the form of speeches
and poems.
A poster making competition was
organized on the same theme as well. The
function was graced by the presence of Offg. Principal Dr. Jyoti Mittu, Miss
Shama Sharma, HOD Fine Arts and Dr. Nidhi Kochhar.
ਹੰਸਰਾਜ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਮਹਾਵਿਦਿਆਲਾ, ਜ¦ਧਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਇੋਲਾੱਜੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੀ ਫੋਇਡਿਅਨ ਸੋਸਾਇਟੀ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਵਰਲਡ ਸੁਸਾਇਡ ਪਵੈਂਸ਼ਨ ਤੇ ਸੈਮੀਨਾਰ ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਕਾਲਜ ਪਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਪੋ. ਡਾ. ਸ਼ੀਮਤੀ ਅਜੈ ਸਰੀਨ ਦੇ ਦਿਸ਼ਾ ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ ਹੇਠ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਸਾਇਕੋਲਾੱਜੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੀ ਮੁਖੀ ਡਾ. ਆਸ਼ਮੀਨ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਆਤਮਹੱਤਿਆ ਬਚਾਓ ਲਈ ਤਨਾਓ ਪਬੰਧਨ ਤੇ ਪੈਜ਼ੇਂਟੇਸ਼ਨ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਉਨ•ਾਂ ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਤੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਕਿ ਅਭਿਭਾਵਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਬੱਚਿਆ ਤੋਂ ਜ਼ਰੂਰਤ ਤੋਂ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ ਉਮੀਦ ਉਨ•ਾਂ 'ਚ ਤਨਾਓ ਵੱੱਧਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਅਭਿਭਾਵਕ ਤੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ ਤਨਾਓ ਨ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਆਪਣ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਜਿਉਣ। ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੀਆਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਵਿਤਾਵਾਂ ਤੇ ਭਾਸ਼ਨ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਪਗਟ ਕੀਤੇ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਟੇਕ ਅ ਮੁਮੇਂਟ, ਸੇਵ ਅ ਲਾਇਫ ਵਿਸ਼ੇ ਤੇ ਪੋਸਟਰ ਮੇਕਿੰਗ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਦਾ ਵੀ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਕਲਾ ਦਾ ਪਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਕਾਰਜ਼ਕਾਰੀ ਪਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾਂ ਜੋਤੀ ਮਿੱਤੂੂ, ਫਾਇਨ ਆਰਟਸ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੀ ਮੁਖੀ ਸੁਸ਼ੀ ਸ਼ਮਾ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਅਤੇ ਡਾ. ਨਿਧਿ ਕੋਛੜ ਵੀ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਸਨ।
