Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar organized an inter class competition on the
occasion of World Vegetarian Day.
Competitions on Slogan Writing & Fireless Cooking were
organized. The topic of the competition
was “Immunity Boosting Platter from the nature”. 50 students participated in Slogan Writing
Competition while 40 teams in fireless cooking.
On this occasion, Principal Prof. Dr. Mrs. Ajay Sareen laid the stress
on importance of vegetarian diet, how the herbs from nature effect our health
& how our culture believes in food from nature. She told the students to go for healthy
organic food & avoid eating junk food.
Dr. Meena Sharma, HOD Botany & Incharge of DD Pant Botanical Society
told the students about the ill effects of changing life style & eating
habits on our health. She said that the
rise in diseases like heart attack, cancer, diabetes etc. find their way in our
life through food only. Dr. Shaveta
Chauhan co-incharge of the society told students about some immunity boosting
food like citrus fruits, broccoli, bell peppers, ginger, garlic, turmeric etc.
In slogan writing competition, Navdeep Kaur got 1st prize, Shivana
got 2nd prize & Disha got 3rd prize. In fireless cooking team of Manpreet, Monika
& Priya got 1st prize.
Team of Jyoti, Krishna & Vaishali & team of Shruti & Avneet
got 2nd prize. Team of Kajal,
Diksha & Ishani & team of Vaishali, Radhika & Harveen got 3rd
prize. Consolation prizes are given to
team of Anie, Medhavi & Veenta & team of Manpreet & Monika. Judges were Dr. Seema Marwaha, Mrs. Neety
Sood, Ms. Shama, Mr. Harpreet Singh and Dr. Nidhi Kochhar. Dr. Anjana Bhatia, Dr. Nitika, Mrs. Ramandeep
Kaur, Ms. Harpreet were also there. Special food stalls on Navratas was also
organized by Home Sc. Deptt. of the college, under “Earn While Learn
Scheme”. The students of +2, BA prepared
food items like Nutritious & healthy veg biryanii, sago cutlet &
tempting fruit chat & presented it in innovative way. Madam Principal appreciated the efforts of
the students. On this occasion, Head of Home Sc. Deptt. Mrs. Neety Sood, Mrs.
Shallu Dua and Ms. Navjot were also present.
ਹੰਸ ਰਾਜ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਮਹਾਵਿਦਿਆਲਿਆ ਦੇ ਪੀਜੀ ਬੋਟਨੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੀ ਡੀਡੀ ਪੰਤ ਬੋਟਾਨਿਕਲ ਸੋਸਾਇਟੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਵਰਲਡ ਵੈਜੀਟੇਰਿਅਨ ਡੇ ਦੇ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਇੰਟਰ ਕਲਾਸ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਸਲੋਗਨ ਲੇਖਨ ਅਤੇ ਫਾਇਰਲੈਸ ਕੁਕਿੰਗ ਦੇ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਜਿਸਦਾ ਵਿਸ਼ਾ ਇਮਯੂਨਿਟੀ ਬੂਸਟਿੰਗ ਪਲੈਟਰ ਫਾਮ ਦ ਨੇਚਰ ਸੀ। ਸਲੋਗਨ ਲੇਖਨ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ‘ਚ 50 ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਨੇ ਅਤੇ ਫਾਇਰਲੈਸ ਕੁਕਿੰਗ 'ਚ 40 ਟੀਮਾਂ ਨੇ ਭਾਗ ਲਿਆ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਪਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਪੋ. ਡਾ. ਸ਼ੀਮਤੀ ਅਜੈ ਸਰੀਨ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਾਕਾਹਾਰੀ ਆਹਾਰ ਦੀ ਮਹਤੱਤਾ ਤੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਨੈਚੁਰਲ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਸਾਡੀ ਸਿਹਤ ਤੇ ਸਕਾਰਾਤਮਕ ਪਭਾਵ ਪਾਉਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਡੀ ਸੰਸ´ਿਤੀ ਵੀ ਨੈਚੁਰਲ ਚੀਜ਼ਾ ਤੇ ਵੀ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਉਨ•ਾਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਨੂੰਸ਼ਾਕਾਹਾਰੀ ਭੋਜਨ ਅਪਨਾਉਣ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਪੇਰਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਬੋਟਨੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੀ ਮੁਖੀ ਅਤੇ ਸੋਸਾਇਟੀ ਇੰਚਾਰਜ਼ ਡਾ. ਮੀਨਾ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਨੂੰਬਦਲਦੇ ਲਾਇਫ ਸਟਾਇਲ ਅਤੇ ਖਾਣ-ਪਾਣ ਦੀਆਂ ਮਾੜੀ ਆਦਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਪਭਾਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ। ਉਨ•ਾਂ ਕਿਾਹ ਕਿ ਹਾਰਟ ਅਟੈਕ, ਕੈਂਸਰ, ਮਧੁਮੇਹ ਵਰਗੀਆਂ ਬਿਮਾਰੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਮਰੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਦੀ ਵੱਧਦੀ ਸੰਖਿਆਂ ਗਲਤ ਖਾਣਪਾਣ ਦਾ ਵੀ ਨਤੀਜ਼ਾ ਹੈ। ਸੋਸਾਇਟੀ ਦੀ ਕੋ-ਇੰਚਾਰਜ਼ ਡਾ. ਸ਼ਵੇਤਾ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਨੂੰਇਮਯੂਨਿਟੀ ਵਧਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਕੁਝ ਭੋਜਨ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਫਰੂਟ, ਬਾਕਲੀ, ਬੈਲ ਪੈਪਰ, ਅਦਰਕ, ਲਹਸੁਨ, ਹਲਦੀ ਆਦਿ ਦੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ। ਸਲੋਗਨ ਲੇਖਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਵਦੀਪ, ਸ਼ਿਵਾਨੀ ਤੇ ਦਿਸ਼ਾ ´ਮਵਾਰ ਪਹਿਲਾ, ਦੂਜਾ ਅਤੇ ਤੀਜਾ ਸਥਾਨ, ਫਾਇਰਲੈਸ ਕੁਕਿੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਨਪੀਤ, ਮੋਨਿਕਾ, ਪਿਯਾ ਨੂੰਪਹਿਲਾ, ਜੋਤੀ, ´ਿਸ਼ਨਾ, ਵੈਸ਼ਾਲੀ, ਸ਼ਰੁਤੀ, ਅਵਨੀਤ ਨੂੰਦੂਜਾ, ਕਾਜਲ, ਦਿਕਸ਼ਾ, ਇਸ਼ਾਨੀ, ਵੈਸ਼ਾਲੀ, ਰਾਧਿਕਾ, ਹਰਵੀਨ ਨੇ ਤੀਜਾ ਇਨਾਮ, ਏਨੀ, ਮਾਧਵੀ, ਵਨੀਤਾ, ਮਨਪੀਤ, ਮੋਨਿਕਾ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਨੇ ਸਾਂਤਵਨਾ ਇਨਾਮ ਪਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਜੱਜਾਂ ਦੀ ਭੂÎਮਿਕਾ ਡਾ. ਸੀਮਾ ਮਰਵਾਹਾ, ਸੀਮਤੀ ਨੀਤਿ ਸੂਦ, ਸੁਸੀ ਸ਼ਮਾ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ, ਸੀ ਹਰਪੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਡਾ. ਨਿਧੀ ਕੋਛੜ ਨੇ ਨਿਭਾਈ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਡਾ. ਅੰਜਨਾ ਭਾਟਿਆ, ਡਾ. ਨੀਤਿਕਾ, ਰਮਨਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ ਅਤੇ ਹਰਪੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਵੀ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਸਨ।
ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਹੋਮ ਸਾਇੰਸ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਵਲੋਂ ਨਵਰਾਤੇ ਨੂੰਧਿਆਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖ ਕੇ ਫੂਡ ਸਟਾਲ ਲਗਾਏ ਗਏ। ਇਹ ਸਟਾਲ ਅਰਨ ਵਾਇਲ ਲਰਨ ਸਕੀਮ ਦੇ ਅੰਤਰਗਤ ਲਗਾਏ ਗਏ। +2, ਬੀ.ਏ. ਦੀਆਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਨੇ ਵੈਜੀਟੇਬਲ ਬਿਰਯਾਨੀ, ਸਾਗੋ ਕਟਲੇਟਸ, ਫਰੂਟ ਚਾਟ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਇਨੋਵੇਟਿਵ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ। ਮੈਡਮ ਪਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਨੇ ਉਨ•ਾਂ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਦੀ ਪਸ਼ੰਸਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੀ ਮੁਖੀ ਸੀਮਤੀ ਨੀਤਿ ਸੂਦ, ਸ਼ਾਲੂ ਦੁਆ ਤੇ ਨਵਜੋਤ ਕੌਰ ਵੀ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਸਨ।
