Maha Vidyalaya celebrated Green Diwali:
A Breath of Fresh Air under Innovative Cell. It was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner of
Jalandhar Sh. Varinder Kumar, IAS. Principal
Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen welcomed him with a bouquet of flowers. The objective of celebrating Green Diwali is
primarily to check air pollution caused by crackers and also to give a message
of responsibility towards the environment and human health to the society. On this occasion Dy. Commissioner Sh.
Varinder Kumar, IAS said that this is an excellent initiative taken by the
college. The Hon’ble High Court has
given time of crackers from 6.30 to 9.30 p.m.
We all should follow this timing.
He said that saying no to crackers will be helping our next generations
in having clean environment.

Sareen said that there is a tradition in Rajasthan to say ‘Ram Ram’ to end all
the frictions. Here, we are exchanging plants
and giving message of friendship, mutual understanding and universal harmony
including flora and fauna. The theme of
our Green Diwali is ‘Gift a Plant, Sow a seed of love’. She gave best wishes of Diwali to students on
behalf of DAV College Managing Committee, New Delhi and Local Committee. She said that his initiative is appreciable.

Saini Sharda said that through Green Diwali, we are appealing to all the
citizens of Jalandhar to celebrate Green Diwali by saying no to crackers. Sow a seed and let it grow. This will also inculcate a feeling of caring
and sharing. On this occasion, Mr.
Paramvir Singh, IAS SDM, all the teachers, non-teaching staff members and
students of the college exchanged plants.
They also took a pledge that they will not burn crackers and inspire
others too for the same.
ਹੰਸਰਾਜ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਮਹਾਵਿਦਿਆਲਾ ਦੇ ਇਨੋਵੇਟਿਵ ਸੈਲ ਵੱਲੋਂ ‘ਗੀਨ ਦਿਵਾਲੀ : ਏ ਬੇਥ ਆੱਫ ਫੇਸ਼ ਏਯਰ' ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸਦਾ ਉਦਘਾਟਨ ਜ¦ਧਰ ਦੇ ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਸੀ ਵਰਿੰਦਰ ਕੁਮਾਰ, ਆਈ.ਏ.ਐਸ. ਦੁਆਰਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਪਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਪੋ. ਡਾ. ਅਜੈ ਸਰੀਨ ਨੇ ਫੁੱਲਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਉਨ•ਾਂ ਦਾ ਸੁਆਗਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਗੀਨ ਦਿਵਾਲੀ ਮਨਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਵ ਪਟਾਖਿਆਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਵਾ ਪਦੂਸ਼ਨ ਨੂੰਦੂਰ ਕਰਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਾਜ ਨੂੰਵਾਤਾਵਰਨ ਤੇ ਮਾਨਵ ਸਿਹਤ ਦੇ ਪਤਿ ਜਾਗਰੂਕ ਬਣਾਉਣਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਡੀ.ਸੀ. ਸ਼ੀ ਵਰਿੰਦਰ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਹਾਈ ਕੋਰਟ ਨੇ ਪਟਾਖੇ ਚਲਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਸਮਾਂ ਸ਼ਾਮ ਨੂੰ6.30 ਤੋਂ 9.30 ਨਿਸ਼ਚਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਸਾਨੂੰਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰਇਸ ਆਦੇਸ਼ ਦਾ ਪਾਲਣ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਸਾਡੀ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਪੀੜ•ੀਆਂ ਨੂੰਸਾਫ-ਸੁਥਰਾ ਵਾਤਾਵਰਨ ਮਿਲ ਸਕੇ। ਉਨ•ਾਂ ਡੀ.ਏ.ਵੀ. ਮੈਨੇਜ਼ਿੰਗ ਕਮੇਟੀ, ਨਵੀਂ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਲੋਕਲ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਨੂੰਦਿਵਾਲੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਸ਼ੁਭਕਾਮਨਾਵਾਂ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ। ਉਨ•ਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਨੋਵੇਟਿਵ ਸੈਲ ਦੀ ਇਹ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਪਸ਼ੰਸਾ ਯੋਗ ਹੈ।
ਕਾਲਜ ਪਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਰਾਜਸਥਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਥਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਸਾਰੇ ਮਨਮੁਟਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰਦੂਰ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ‘ਰਾਮ-ਰਾਮ' ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਥੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਪੌਧਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਵਟਾਅ-ਵਟਾਂਦਰਾਂ ਕਰਕੇ ਦੋਸਤੀ, ਆਪਸੀ ਸਮਝ ਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਦਾ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਕੁਦਰਤ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜ• ਕੇ ਦੇ ਰਹੇ ਹਾਂ। ਸਾਡੀ ਗੀਨ ਦਿਵਾਲੀ ਦਾ ਥੀਮ ‘ਗਿਫਟ ਏ ਪਲਾਂਟ, ਸੋ ਏ ਸੀਡ ਆੱਫ ਲਵ' ਹੈ।
ਡੀਨ ਇਨੋਵੇਟਿਵ ਸੈਲ ਸੀਮਤੀ ਰਮਨੀਤਾ ਸੈਣੀ ਸ਼ਾਰਦਾ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਗੀਨ ਦਿਵਾਲੀ ਦੇ ਮਾਧਿਅਮ ਨਾਲ ਅਸੀਂ ਜ¦ਧਰ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਨਾਗਰਿਕਾਂ ਨੂੰਅਪੀਲ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਪਟਾਕਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ‘ਨਾ' ਕਹੋ ਅਤੇ ਗੀਨ ਦਿਵਾਲੀ ਨੂੰਅਪਣਾਓ। ਇਕ ਪੇੜ ਲਗਾਓ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰਵਧਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਦੇਖੋ, ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਦੇਖਭਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਂਝਾ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਅਹਿਸਾਸ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਮੰਚ ਸੰਚਾਲਨ ਡਾ. ਅੰਜਨਾ ਭਾਟਿਆ ਨੇ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਟੀਚਿੰਗ, ਨਾੱਨ ਟੀਚਿੰਗ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਨੇ ਪੌਧਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਵਟਾਅ-ਵਟਾਂਦਰਾ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਨ•ਾਂ ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਇਹ ਸੌਂਹ ਵੀ ਲਈ ਕਿ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਪਟਾਖੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਚਲਾਏਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਦੂਜਿਆਂ ਨੂੰਵੀ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਪੇਰਿਤ ਕਰੇਗਾ।
