HMV participated in Walk for Values

The students of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya participated in Walk For Values organized by Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organization, Punjab.  The motto of the walk was ‘All for One; One for All’.  The assembly point was Guru Gobind Singh Stadium, Jalandhar.  Around 80 students of the college participated in this walk.  The event was basically focussed on promoting 5 values i.e. Dharma, Ahinsa, Satya, Prem and Shanti.  This event was first held in Canada.  Approximately 3000 people in total participated in the walk.  The walk was of 1.7 Kms.  Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.)Ajay Sareen congratulated the students for being a part of such event.  She said that through such activities, we can spread the message of peace and harmony to the world.  On this occasion, Head of Physical Education Deptt. Mrs. Sudarshan Kang and Ms. Sukhwinder Kaur were also present.

ਹੰਸ ਰਾਜ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਮਹਾਵਿਦਿਆਲਿਆ, ਜਲੰਧਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਨੇ ਸ਼ੀ ਸਤਿਆ ਸਾਂਈ ਸੇਵਾ ਆਗੇਨਾਇਜ਼ੇਸ਼ਨ, ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਆਯੋਜਿਤ ਵਾੱਕ ਫਾਰ ਵੈਲਯੂਜ਼ ਵਿੱਗ ਭਾਗ ਲਿਆ।  ਵਾੱਕ ਦਾ ਸਿਧਾਂਤ ‘ਆੱਲ ਫਾਰ ਵਨ, ਵਨ ਫਾਰ ਆੱਲ' ਸੀ।  ਸਾਰੇ ਪਤਿਭਾਗਿਆਂ ਨੂੰਗੁਰੂ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਟੇਡਿਅਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕਠਾ ਹੋਣਾ ਸੀ। ਕਾਲਜ ਦੀਆਂ ਲਗਭਗ 80 ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਵਾੱਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲਿਆ।  ਇਹ ਵਾੱਕ ਮੁੱਖ ਰੂਪ ਨਾਲ ਚਾਰ ਮਾਨਤਾਵਾਂ ਤੇ ਆਧਾਰਿਤ ਸੀ - ਧਰਮ, ਅਹਿੰਸਾ, ਸੱਚ ਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ।  ਇਹ ਵਾੱਕ ਸੱਭ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਕੈਨੇਡਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਯੋਜਿਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ।  ਇਸ ਵਾੱਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਗਭਗ 3000 ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਭਾਗ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ 1.7 ਕਿਲੋਮੀਟਰ ਦੀ ਦੂਰੀ ਤਹਿ ਕੀਤੀ।  ਪਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਪੋ. ਡਾ. ਸੀਮਤੀ ਅਜੈ ਸਰੀਨ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਨੂੰਇਸ ਵਾੱਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲਈ ਵਧਾਈ ਦਿੱਤੀ।  ਉਨ•ਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਤਰ•ਾਂ ਦੇ ਆਯੋਜਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਾਧਿਅਮ ਨਾਲ ਪੂਰੀ ਦੁਨਿਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਸੀ ਤਾਲਮੇਲ ਦਾ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਵੰਡਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ।  ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਸਪੋਰਟਸ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀ ਸੀਮਤੀ ਸੁਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕੰਗ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਸੀ ਸੁਖਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੌਰ ਵੀ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਸਨ।
