Scheme Unit of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar observed Rashtriya
Ekta Diwas to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel,
one of the institutors’ of the Republic of India. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.)
Ajay Sareen directed the NSS unit to organise a “RUN FOR UNITY”, with a
thought to foster dedication to conserve and empower unity, integrity and
security of the nation. She said that its time that the youth upholds the
ideals of unity and integrity as envisioned and upheld by Sardar Patel. She
stressed that Patel is the real founder of the integrated India. Principal,
staff and students of offered floral tribute to Sardar Patel and undertook a
pledge to stand for a united India. On
this occasion, programme officers Mrs. Veena Arora and Dr. Anjana Bhatia also
motivated the students to realize the importance of unity. The NSS volunteers stressed the importance of protecting the country’s
unity, disregarding caste, community etc. An essay writing competition was also
organised. Students took part in the essay writing completion with great
enthusiasm. While delivering a speech, NSS volunteers said that Sardar Vallabh
Bhai Patel had played a crucial role in the framing of the Constitution and
bringing unity in India as a nation and
we must not forget his ideals. Mrs. Sudarshan Kang and Ms. Sukhwinder
Kaur were also present in the “RUN for Unity”
