HMV adds another feather to its cap

 

Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar has been recognized as Swacchta Action Plan Institute by the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India under Mahatma Gandhi National Council of Rural Education Swacchta Scheme. HMV has been appreciated for its efforts in constituting working groups Post COVID-19 for Sanitation and Hygiene, Waste Management, Water Management, Energy Management and Greenery along with observation of environment related days. The institution was also applauded for its efforts to inculcate in faculty, students and community, the practices of Swachhta and Reduction, Reuse and Recycling of resources. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen congratulated the staff and students for their tireless efforts and also thanked Dr. Punam Suri, Padmashree Awardee, President DAVCMC, New Delhi for his blessings and motivation. She further added that HMV has established vermicomposting unit, solid waste management unit,  paper recycling unit, solar panels and incinerators for encouraging sustainability in college campus life. The institution has rich biodiversity of flora and fauna with many indigenous plants flourishing in the campus.
