DBT-STAR sponsored Workshop on “ChemDraw: A software application for Drawing
Chemical Structures” under the able guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs) Ajay
Sareen. Mrs. Deepshikha, HOD and Incharge of R. Venkatraman Chemical Society
shed light on the importance and application of modern techniques/softwares in
Chemistry. ChemDraw is a widely used chemical drawing software application that
allows users to create chemical structures, reactions, and diagrams and facilitate
visualization of complex chemical compounds and reactions. The objective of
workshop was to familiarize participants with the basic and advanced features
of ChemDraw and better understanding of molecular geometry and spatial
arrangement through 3D visualization. We focused on providing hands-on
experience with ChemDraw and promote effective communication of chemical
structures. The workshop was conducted by the faculty Dr. Vandna Thakur, Dr.
Rajneet Kaur, Ms. Tanisha. Total 35 students participated enthusiastically in
the workshop.
